MODERN A-FRAME :: LEAVENWORTH, WASHINGTON
The Eagle Creek Cabins are a series of small modern A-frame cabins in the North Cascades near Leavenworth, Washington. Designed to fit into the landscape seamlessly, the cabins are short-term rentals aimed at giving guests the experience of being in the wilderness within a sleek, modern structure.
The steep roof structure evokes a traditional mountain form, but the large windows and interior details update the experience, allowing one to be both comfortable and aware of the mountain landscape.
The cabins are highly energy efficient, utilizing in floor radiant heat, and a high insulation value as the roof system also acts as walls. The lower level is buried into the hillside, keeping the structure cool in the hot summer months as well.
