Woollen|Studio inc. is a dynamic, service oriented architecture firm located in Seattle, Washington, designing and working on a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, and institutional. An authenticity found in simple design solutions and expressions of materiality are at the heart of our thought processes. We strive to create spaces that inspire, while encouraging interactions and community. We work to provide sustainable solutions, by looking holistically at a project and it’s unique place, finding the best solution for each individual circumstance.

Carter Woollen has been working in Architecture for over 20 years, and brings an ability to organize diverse teams in order to solve the unique challenges that each project presents. He brings a creative sensibility to each project, and ability to see the objectives and challenges from the big picture down to the smallest details. He brings an understanding and passion of the way buildings go together, and excels at finding unique solutions to difficult problems.
He has been a guest critic for Architecture and Planning Studios at Georgia Tech and the University of Washington, and has taught Undergraduate level courses in Design and Architecture.
